An excellent way to start off the day.
The apples and dates add a natural sweetness
to the porridge, provides fibre and healthy
vitamins and minerals.
90g whole rolled porridge oats
15 g Bran
450 ml Semi-skimmed Milk
300 ml Water
2 green eating Apples, cored and chopped
2 Tbsp dark brown Muscovado Sugar
Mix the porridge oats, bran, milk, and
water together in a saucepan.
Bring to the boil, stirring occasionally,
then simmer for 6 minutes, stirring 3-4
Stir in the apple and dates and simmer
for a further 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Stir in half the sugar and spoon into 4
individual serving bowls. Sprinkle with
the remaining sugar and serve.
